A tutoring business approached us with an ambitious goal: to become the number one private tutoring business in Scotland.
The Goal
Central Tutors wanted to stand out from the competition in both website design as well as ranking on Google. So the challenge was to create a truly unique website, that looks professional and is very well optimised in all areas. At the end of the day they are looking for more students to sign up.

How we did it
The first step in a big project like this is to come up with a new design. We often use Figma in our design processes, coming up with a design that the client like before actually making it on WordPress. We collaborated with another designer on this task and we ended up with a great website.
The main part of this project was making the site optimised for search engines and conversions as this is the clients main form of marketing. We did this by doing extensive keyword and competitor research. WordPress was chosen as the CMS because the client has used it before and it’s the most flexible system.
What we delivered
Website Overhaul
We created a brand new website design for Central Tutors taking into consideration the competition and the nature of the business. Strategically placing contact forms and buttons in the most optimised places. Making sure the site looks and feels professional whilst also appealing to kids and adults. Making sure we stick to the branding with our colour scheme, and making it work on all devices.
SEO optimisation
After conducting extensive keywords and competitor research we knew what keyword and phrases we should be targetting generate more traffic. Putting keywords throughout the site including headings, meta descriptions, image alt tags and in the copy. This was the most important aspect of this project, getting more people to the site will bring Central Tutors more customers.
Setting up a content plan was also a key part of this project as we are already ranking high for many related search terms like “how to do moles calculations” where we rank higher than BBC Bitesize! It’s important to keep the momentum going so as soon as the website was complete we got to work on creating great content.
The Result
It was great to come up with a great new website for Central Tutors. We are proud of the end results, we continue to support them with the website in hosting, maintenance and SEO.
